TILEEVERY ENCLOSUREEQ Editor
EQ Editor keeps the selected enclosure’s filters open on its SPL graph. Every edit changes the simulated signal, so the other response and limit tiles follow it.
- Shows
- SPL with editable filter handles for the selected enclosure or horn driver.
- Healthy when
- The response has the shape you need and the filtered design still passes its travel and power checks.
- If it is not
- Select the correct enclosure, adjust one filter, and recheck Excursion and Headroom.
The tile#
The tile is always in filter-editing mode. On other supported charts, the EQ button enters that mode and Exit leaves it. Select the intended enclosure first; for a multiple-entry horn, also select the driver whose filters you mean to edit.
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Add filter | Right-click the chart to add a filter at that frequency. |
| High-pass or low-pass triangle | Drag sideways to change cutoff; open its control for type and slope. |
| Parametric or shelf dot | Drag sideways for frequency and vertically for gain. Selected handles expose bandwidth where applicable. |
| EQ / filters | Use the side panel for exact values, enabled state and deletion. |
| Copy from... | Copy another enclosure’s filters; the copy dialog replaces the current filter set. |
Check the cost, not just the shape#
Excursion after EQ
mm
- No filter21.2 mm at 10 Hz
- High-pass enabled6.3 mm at 24 Hz
Here the plotted peak excursion falls from 21.2 mm to 6.3 mm. The high-pass also removes low-frequency SPL. Keep SPL (dB) and Excursion together to see whether that trade suits the band you need.
What to try#
| Try | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Protect the bottom octave | Add a high-pass below the useful band, then compare its cost in SPL. |
| Compare without deleting | Disable a filter in EQ / filters to compare the result, then enable it again. |

Using 00 Simulator, preview a protective high-pass for my selected enclosure. Compare the original and filtered SPL, cone excursion and port velocity at the current power, and explain the lost bandwidth before saving any filters.
