Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients can search the driver library, build enclosures in your workspace and run the same solver you use. The numbers come from 00 Simulator’s solver, not the model’s memory, and saved designs open in the app so you can check them.

Why connect it

A language model can’t run a simulation. It can drive one.

Language models predict text. That makes them good at planning and explaining, and unreliable at physics. Connected to 00 Simulator, your assistant does the part it is good at and hands the acoustics to a solver.

  • Recalls a driver’s parameters from training data, which may be wrong, rounded or for a different version.
  • Sizes a box from rules of thumb and alignment tables.
  • Has no validated enclosure solver to check excursion or port speed against.
  • Keeps the design in the chat, not in a workspace you can open and edit.

  • Looks the driver up in the simulator’s library of simulation-ready drivers.
  • Builds the enclosure with the same fields and checks as the app.

In clients that support MCP Apps, such as ChatGPT, render_simulation_graphs draws interactive SPL and excursion graphs, with Xmax marked, right in the conversation. Other clients get the results as text.

There is no tool for deleting a workspace or creating a share link. Those stay in the app, with you.

Set it up

One URL, a sign-in, and you’re connected.

Add 00 Simulator as a custom connector, sign in with your 00 Simulator account and approve the connection. The steps differ a little by client.

  3. 3Choose Add. If Claude asks how to register the client, pick Register automatically.

  5. 5In a chat, open the + menu, go to Connectors and switch 00 Simulator on.

Custom connectors work on Claude’s Free plan (one connector) and on paid plans. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector in Organization settings first.

Developer mode is on the web for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education plans. OpenAI marks developer mode as elevated risk, and ChatGPT asks before running tools that write, including saving edits and storing a simulation run.

A client that supports remote servers with OAuth sign-in should connect with these details. Client support varies, so check your client’s MCP documentation.

Menu names change as these apps update. If a step doesn’t match what you see, look for custom connectors or developer mode in the app’s settings.

Your workspace, your call

It works in your account, and you can always undo it.

You approve it
Connecting takes a free account with a verified email. A consent screen shows what the assistant is asking for before you allow it.
Your workspaces, no one else’s
It can reach your own workspaces, the driver library, and your account name and email. It cannot see anyone else’s workspaces, and guest designs in your browser stay out of reach.
Every design change is a version
Changes the assistant saves to a design appear in Workspace history under Saved versions, labelled MCP client. Restore any of them from there.
No silent overwrites
Each design edit names the version it started from. If the design changed in the meantime, the edit is rejected instead of replacing your work.
Try before saving
The assistant can simulate a change without saving it, so experiments don’t fill your history. Simulation runs are kept for up to 24 hours, and only the newest 20 per workspace.
Disconnect any time
Choose AI in the simulator’s header and open Connections to see what is connected. Disconnecting ends the assistant’s access immediately.

Things to ask

Ask the way you would ask a friend who builds speakers.

  • Find 12-inch subwoofer drivers that would suit a sealed box of about 50 litres.
  • Suggest a vented box for this driver, then show me the SPL and excursion at 300 W.
  • Open my garage sub workspace and try tuning it 5 Hz lower without saving the change.
  • Show me the saved versions of this design and restore the one before your last edit.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does the AI design the speaker?

No. Your assistant decides what to try and explains what it finds. The simulations it runs use 00 Simulator’s solver, the same one in the app, and the designs it saves are in your workspace, so you can open them and check what it tells you.

Is it free?

Yes. Connecting only needs a free 00 Simulator account with a verified email address. Your assistant’s own plan decides whether you can add custom connectors.

What can it see?

Your own workspaces, the driver library, the simulations it runs, and your account name and email. It cannot see anyone else’s workspaces, and designs you made as a guest live only in your browser, so it cannot reach them.

How do I disconnect it?

In the simulator, choose AI in the header and open Connections, or open AI / MCP from your account menu, then disconnect the client. Its access ends straight away. You can also remove the connector in your assistant’s own settings.

Which assistants can connect?

The steps on this page cover Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT. 00 Simulator is a remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in, so other clients that support that should also be able to connect.

Can it delete or share my designs?

No. There is no tool for deleting a workspace or creating a share link. The consent screen lists a permission for creating share links, but no tool uses it today. The assistant can create workspaces and change them, and every change to a design becomes a version you can restore.

Can it work on horns?

Yes. The assistant can read and edit every horn type the app supports, including Paraflex and multiple-entry horns, and simulate them with the same solver.
