Share as a guest#

   Open the dialog

   Press Share in the header. Share configuration lists every enclosure in the project, all ticked.

   Choose what goes

   Untick the enclosures to leave out. Name suggests a title from the enclosures, and Notes takes a description, with Markdown.

   Make the link

   Create share link publishes it. Share link created shows the address, and Copy link puts it on your clipboard.

Sign in, draft, then publish#

Signed in, a share starts as a draft that only you can open: anyone else who tries the address is told it was not found. Publish it when it reads the way you want.

   Make a draft

   Press Share, untick what to leave out, check the Name, and press Create draft. The draft opens in a new tab, with the simulator still open in this one.

   Write it up

   The draft opens on its panel, marked Draft · not yet published. Give it a title, write Design notes (Markdown works) and, under Links, Add link for up to 12: discussion threads, GitHub, CAD files, cut lists, photos, videos or websites.

   Set the scene

   Collapse the panel to arrange the tiles, change the power or environment, and add notes to the graphs. The link keeps them as they are when you save.

   Save or publish

   Save draft keeps it private. Publish design makes it public and lists it in the Gallery; Design published gives you the link to copy.

Publishing gives the address the title’s words. The draft’s old address keeps working and leads to the same design.

What a link carries#

• The enclosures you ticked, with their drivers and passive radiators. Drivers you created go too, with every T/S value and their notes, so anyone who opens the link can use them.
• Every measured trace in the workspace. A trace linked to an enclosure you left out still goes, unlinked.
• Every note on the graphs, the tiles and their layout, and the environment: radiation space and listening distance.
• The Name and, for guests, the Notes; for drafts, the title, Design notes and Links you add later.

A link is a snapshot. Changes you make in your workspace afterwards do not reach it: share again for a link with the new design.

Who can see it#

• The Gallery shows your account’s name and picture with each design you publish. Guest links show as a guest designer.
• The design’s own page names you by your username when your profile is public and has one, and by your account name otherwise. Your picture and a link to your profile appear only when your profile is public.
• The title you publish is what people see in the Gallery, in search results and in link previews.
• Views count other people opening a published link. Your own visits and drafts are not counted.

Change a published design#

• Open the link while signed in and press Edit design (Edit on the collapsed bar). Change the title, Design notes, Links, the tiles, the power, the environment or the graph notes, then Save changes.
• Everyone with the link sees the new version as soon as you save, at the same address.
• The enclosures themselves are fixed on the share page. To share a changed design, change it in your workspace and share it again.
• A draft you left shows Resume on its bar instead.

Manage your links#

Shared links, in the account menu under your avatar, lists your Drafts and Published designs with their views, and has a search. Edit opens a draft, Open a published design. More actions (⋯) on each:

Open a shared design#

A shared link opens the design in the simulator with a bar at the top: who shared it, the title, Notes when there are any, Files and Import. Click the name on the bar for the full panel: notes, links, the enclosures, the notes on the graphs and any measurements.

• You can change the power, the environment and the tiles to explore it. The design itself is fixed, and nothing you do changes the original.
• Files (Export files in the panel) downloads it: Project file (.00sim), WinISD project (.wpr) or Driver records (.wdr). Import and export covers each.
• Signed in, Import to my workspaces opens Import shared workspace: name it under Workspace name and press Import for a new workspace of your own.
• As a guest, Import to my simulator loads it into this browser’s guest project. If that already holds a design, Replace your browser draft? asks first: Replace browser draft removes the current guest project, with the drivers and passive radiators you made in it, from this device.

Your public profile#

Your account comes with a profile page, and it is public unless you switch it off. After you sign in, Set up your profile asks for a picture, a Name and a Username; the page’s address is /u/ followed by the username. Skip for now leaves it for later.

• It shows your name, picture and username, a bio and social profiles if you add them, when you joined, your published designs with their views, badges, and a graph of the days you used the simulator.
• Open it with View public profile in the account menu. On your own profile, a button leads to Shared links.
• Change it under Account: the Public profile switch (Public or Private), Handle, Bio and Social profiles, then Save public profile. Public shares, further down, has a switch per link: On profile or Hidden.
• A private profile has no page, but the Gallery still shows your account’s name and picture with each design you publish, and the design’s page shows your name.
