# Insights

> Use the simulator’s rule-based design notes to find issues, inspect the relevant curves and test suggested changes.

Insights turns selected simulation checks into short notes. Start here to find a likely problem, then inspect the graph that explains it.

- **Shows:** Rule-based notes about visible designs, including travel, port behaviour and response shape.
- **Healthy when:** The flagged items are understood at your current power and thresholds, with the important graphs checked.
- **If it is not:** Select a flagged design, inspect its curve, and test the suggested change.

## The tile

The tile analyses visible designs and sorts flagged items by severity: **Watch**, **High** and **Critical**. Each note names the enclosure, gives its reading and explains a possible change. **Select** selects that design. Expand the tile to read more of the notes.

These are rules applied to simulation results. They do not come from an AI conversation. Changes to power, EQ, enclosure settings or the port-warning threshold can change the notes.

## What it checks

| Check | Inspect beside it |
| --- | --- |
| Cone travel compared with Xmax | [Excursion](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/reference/tiles/excursion) and the frequency band over the line. |
| Passive-radiator travel | [PR Excursion](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/reference/tiles/pr-excursion), using the radiator’s own Xmax. |
| Front and rear port air speed | The relevant [port-velocity tile](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/reference/tiles/port-velocity). |
| Port resonance and impractical port geometry | The port dimensions, tuning and intended low-pass band. |
| Response shape and sealed-box Qtc | [SPL (dB)](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/reference/tiles/spl), then the box alignment. |

## Act on a note

1. **Select the design.** Use **Select** and confirm the power and filters are the ones you intend to use.
2. **Inspect the curve.** Find the flagged frequency and decide whether it lies in, or below, the band you will reproduce.
3. **Test the change.** Where a high-pass action is offered, it adds a real enabled filter. Check the filtered SPL and travel afterwards; it is not just a dismiss button.

> **A candidate is not a verdict** **Best current candidate** reflects this set of rule scores. It does not choose your desired bandwidth, cabinet size or listening level. **No flagged issues** means no issue crossed these thresholds, not that the design has been physically validated.

## What to try

| Try | What it changes |
| --- | --- |
| Inspect the cause | Use **Select** on a note to select the design it describes. |
| [Try a protective filter](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/guides/eq-and-filters) | Where a note offers a high-pass action, it adds a real filter; recheck the response afterwards. |
| [Check beyond the notes](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/reference/tiles/headroom) | Read **Headroom** and the relevant limit tiles even when there are no flagged issues. |

## Ask your AI

**Ask your AI**

> Using 00 Simulator, review my visible designs at their current settings. Check cone and radiator travel, front and rear port speed, and response shape. Explain the most important issue and preview one change that addresses it before saving.
