# On a phone

> How 00 Simulator works on a phone: one tile at a time, the dock with its power, EQ and layout sheets, the drawers, and what needs a computer.

00 Simulator runs on a phone with the same solver and the same tiles. The screen shows one tile at a time, the dock at the bottom holds what you change most, and the side panels become drawers.

The vented example at 200 W on a phone, as a guest. The tile is the solver’s curve for that design.

## The phone layout

Any window narrower than 768 pixels gets this layout: a phone, a small tablet held upright, or a narrow browser window on a computer. The header at the very top is the same as on a computer, with **Undo**, **Redo**, **Share**, **Export**, **Settings** and the rest as icons.

| Part | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| The cloud, top left | **Back to workspaces**, your saved designs. |
| The name in the middle | The workspace, or **Local workspace** as a guest. Tap it to rename a workspace of your own (**Rename workspace**). |
| The menu, top right | **Open workspace menu**: **Enclosures**, **Driver**, **Power**, **EQ** and **Environment**, each as a drawer. |
| The tile | One at a time, the full width of the screen. Swipe sideways for the next. |
| The dock | A pill per tile, **+** to add or choose one, the power chip and the layout button. |

## Enclosures and the Driver panel

- **Enclosures** slides in the enclosure list with the Enclosure panel below it, and **Measured traces** below that. Tap a row and it opens that enclosure and closes the drawer.
- **Driver**, **Power**, **EQ** and **Environment** open the Driver panel at that section, for the selected enclosure. [The workspace](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/start/workspace#driver-panel) describes each one.
- Tap the dimmed page beside a drawer to close it.

## One tile at a time

- Swipe sideways to page through the tiles, or tap a pill in the dock. The pill of the tile on screen shows its name.
- **+** (**Add or choose a graph**) lists every tile by group. Choosing one already on the dashboard pages to it. The list has no search box on a phone, so the keyboard stays out of the way.
- Tap a graph to hold the readout at that frequency. The legend then offers **Note here**, and on tiles that take EQ, **EQ here** to add a filter right there.
- To edit EQ on a graph, tap **EQ** in its header. With no filters yet it says **Tap the response where you want a filter**.

## Help without leaving the tile

Tap the ⓘ in a tile’s header to open its help sheet. It explains what the tile shows, what a healthy reading looks like and what to try. Where the tile has a live reading, the sheet names the design and the computed frequency range, and updates as the design changes.

- **Full page** opens the tile’s complete reference in a new tab, keeping the simulator in place.
- **Ask AI** prepares a prompt about this tile for your own assistant. You can copy it, or open it in Claude or ChatGPT.
- **Search workspace and docs** searches the docs and offers ways to go to a tile, explain one, or add an available tile when the layout is editable. You can also reach it from **Info** in the app header.
- Tap **Close help**, or the dimmed page above the sheet, to return to the tile.

## The dock and its sheets

_Figure: The three dock sheets on a phone, each over the bottom of the tile: Input power with its slider, the EQ filter editor with a high-pass filter, and Layout with the layouts and the tiles in this one._

Values from the same example. A high-pass added from the EQ sheet starts at 30 Hz unless you are holding the readout at another frequency.

1. Input power
2. EQ filter
3. Layout

| Tap | Sheet | What is in it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| The power chip | **Input power** | The power as a number and on a slider whose marks you can tap. A multiple-entry horn shows a chip per driver first. |
| A filter on a graph | The EQ filter editor | A chip per filter, **+** (**Add another filter**), **Done**, and the chosen filter’s settings. A multiple-entry horn adds a row of driver chips. |
| The layout button | **Layout** | The current layout, or **Custom layout**, with **Revert**, **Save** or **Save as…** to keep what you changed; your layouts, pinned ones first, and **Manage…**; **Tiles in this layout**, each with a bin to remove it, and **Add tile**. |

- One sheet opens at a time: choosing a filter closes the power or layout sheet.
- A sheet sits over the dock and never changes the size of the graph above it, so EQ handles stay where your finger left them.
- Tap the grab handle at the top of a sheet, or swipe it down, to close it. The power sheet also closes when you tap outside it.
- The layout button shows a dot once you change the tiles of the layout you picked.
- While your assistant is editing the workspace, the dock shows what it is doing, with **Take control** in reach.

## What needs a computer

| On a computer | On a phone instead |
| --- | --- |
| Drag tiles to move and resize them, and **Expand to 2 columns** | Tiles fill the screen one at a time, in the layout’s order. Add and remove them from the **Layout** sheet. |
| Pinned layout tabs beside the layout switcher | Pinned layouts come first in the **Layout** sheet. |
| Side panels you drag to either side and resize | Drawers from **Open workspace menu**. |
| **Search tiles...** in the tile list | Scroll the list. |
| **Pin to side**, to keep a tile’s settings beside its chart | Settings open over the tile. |
| Right-click a graph for **Add filter** or **Add note** | Tap the graph, then **EQ here** or **Note here**. |
| Drop a measurement file on a tile | **Add measured trace** in the **Enclosures** drawer, or **Export** › **Measured trace…**. |
| The **Appearance** palette floats and drags | It opens as a sheet at the bottom. |
| [Keyboard shortcuts](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/guides/shortcuts) | Taps and swipes. |

> **Arrange on a computer, read on a phone** A workspace keeps its tiles, so signed in you can set them up on a computer and page through the same ones on your phone. Layouts you save with **Save as…** stay in the browser you saved them in. [Open the vented example](https://simulator.00aud.io/app?template=vented&power=200) on your phone to try the dock.

## Ask your AI

**Ask your AI**

Your assistant can arrange the tiles in the tab you have open, on a phone too, and mark what to look at.

> Using 00 Simulator, put the Excursion and Port Velocity tiles of my open workspace on screen, and mark where each comes closest to its limit at the power I have set.
