# What your assistant sees

> What a connected assistant can see and change in 00 Simulator, the permissions you approve, how to undo its changes and how to disconnect it.

A connected assistant works only with what you approve, only on your own workspaces, with changes you can undo and a connection you can end at any time. This page says exactly what it can reach.

- **You approve it:** Connecting needs a free account with a verified email. A consent screen lists what the assistant is asking for before you allow it.
- **Your workspaces, no one else’s:** It reaches your own workspaces, the driver library, and your account name and email. Designs you made as a guest stay in your browser, out of reach.
- **Step in whenever:** Editing pauses only while it writes, and only for the design. Take control and it asks before editing again.
- **Undo the whole session:** The handback’s Undo reverts its changes. Every change is also a saved version, and an edit that started from an older version is refused rather than overwriting yours.
- **Deleted is not gone:** A workspace it deletes goes to Recently deleted, restorable for 30 days, and it asks first unless it made that workspace in the same conversation. It cannot create share links.
- **Disconnect any time:** Choose AI in the simulator’s header and open Connections, or AI / MCP from your account menu. Access ends straight away.

## You approve it first

Connecting needs a 00 Simulator account with a verified email address; without one the connector refuses every call. The first time your assistant connects, you sign in to 00 Simulator and see a consent screen with the assistant app that is asking, the account you are signed in as, and the access it wants. Nothing is shared until you approve it.

## The permissions

> **It cannot share your designs** No tool creates a share link, and the connector tells assistants never to make one to open a private workspace. Sharing stays something only you do, from **Share** in the app.

## What it can reach

- Your own workspaces: everything saved in them (each enclosure with its driver, power and EQ, the environment, measured traces and graph notes), their saved versions, and the simulation runs it makes. Every workspace tool checks that the workspace belongs to the account that approved the connection.
- The driver library the simulator searches, and these docs.
- Your themes, when you ask it to change how 00 Simulator looks.
- Your account name, profile image and email address, which the consent screen asks for.

It reads what is saved, not your screen: no tool looks at your tab. It can tell whether you have a workspace open, and while you do it can bring tiles to the front and mark the graphs there. See [Watch it work live](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/live).

## What it cannot reach

- Anyone else’s workspaces.
- Designs you make without signing in. A **Guest project** lives only in the browser you made it in, so your assistant cannot see or change it; it works on the workspaces in your account.
- Your sign-in. You sign in on 00 Simulator’s own page, and the assistant app gets only a token for this connection.

## Where your data goes

What your assistant reads through the connector (workspace contents, driver data and simulation results) goes to your assistant’s service, which handles it under its own privacy policy. Graphs drawn in the chat carry the curve data they show. Simulation runs it makes are kept for 24 hours, and only the newest 20 for each workspace. ## Changes you can undo

- Every edit it saves makes a new saved version of the workspace. **Workspace history** lists them, each marked with who made it, and any of them can be restored.
- It edits from the version it last read. If the workspace changed since, the edit is refused rather than written over yours.
- If you have the workspace open, the handback it leaves when it finishes has an **Undo** that reverts its changes in one go. See [Watch it work live](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/live).
- A workspace it deletes goes to **Recently deleted** under **All workspaces**, where **Restore** brings it back for 30 days. It is told to ask you first unless it made that workspace in the same conversation.
- Workspaces it creates start as drafts: they stay out of your workspace count and recents, and are archived after seven days unless you edit, rename, pin or keep them. An archived draft can still be restored from **Recently deleted**.
- A measured trace it removes stays in the workspace’s saved versions.

## Step in at any time

Choose **Take control** in your open workspace and its next change is refused: it has to stop and ask you before it edits again. Your own edits wait only while it is writing, and only for the design.

## Disconnect

1. **Open your connections.** In 00 Simulator, choose **AI** in the header, then **Connections**. Or open your account menu and choose **AI / MCP**.
2. **Disconnect the assistant.** Under **MCP connections**, choose **Disconnect** beside it and confirm.

Access ends straight away: the approval and its sign-in tokens are removed, so the assistant’s next call is refused. Disconnecting does not delete anything already in your assistant’s chats. To use it again, connect again and approve the consent screen.
