# Connect your assistant > Add 00 Simulator to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or another MCP client: the server URL, the steps for each app, and what you approve. Source: https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/connect 00 Simulator is a connector: a remote MCP server your assistant adds by its URL. Add it, sign in with your 00 Simulator account and approve it, and your assistant can open your workspaces, run the solver and show you the graphs. It takes a couple of minutes. ## What you need - **Server URL:** `https://simulator.00aud.io/mcp` - **Account:** A free 00 Simulator account with a verified email address. - **Assistant:** Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or another client that takes remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in. Your assistant’s own plan decides whether you can add a custom connector; the notes under each app below say which plans can. ## Set it up Choose your app and follow its steps. The server URL has a Copy button wherever a step needs it. Open Customize, then Connectors. 2. Choose Add custom connector and paste the server URL. 3. Choose Add. If Claude asks how to register the client, pick Register automatically. 4. Sign in to 00 Simulator and approve the connection. 5. In a chat, open the + menu, go to Connectors and switch 00 Simulator on. Custom connectors work on Claude’s Free plan (one connector) and on paid plans. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector in Organization settings first. ChatGPT (chatgpt.com): 1. In Settings, open Security and login and turn on Developer mode. 2. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins, choose +, name the app 00 Simulator and paste the server URL, including /mcp. 3. In a chat, open the + menu, choose Developer mode and select 00 Simulator. 4. Sign in to 00 Simulator when the first tool runs. Developer mode is on the web for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education plans. OpenAI marks developer mode as elevated risk, and ChatGPT asks before running tools that write, including saving edits and storing a simulation run. Claude Code (terminal): Add the server: ``` claude mcp add --transport http 00-simulator https://simulator.00aud.io/mcp ``` Then sign in from Claude Code: ``` /mcp ``` Add `--scope user` to use it in every project. Claude Code needs a Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise or Console account. Other MCP clients: - Transport: Streamable HTTP - Server URL: `https://simulator.00aud.io/mcp` - Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration - Account: A 00 Simulator account with a verified email address A client that supports remote servers with OAuth sign-in should connect with these details. Client support varies, so check your client’s MCP documentation. Menu names change as these apps update. If a step doesn’t match what you see, look for custom connectors or developer mode in the app’s settings. ## Check it works 1. **Switch it on in a new chat.** In Claude and ChatGPT, switch 00 Simulator on in the chat from its + menu, as your app’s steps say. Claude Code has nothing to switch: once the server is added and you have signed in with `/mcp`, its tools are there in every session. 2. **Ask something small.** Ask it to list your workspaces, as in the prompt below. It reads them from your account, so the names should be yours. 3. **Look in the app.** In 00 Simulator, open **AI** in the header (a robot icon on narrow screens). **Connections** shows how many assistants are connected to your account. **A first question** It reads your workspaces and opens the most recent one, without changing anything. > Using 00 Simulator, list my workspaces and tell me which enclosures and drivers are in the one I opened last. ## What you are approving Connecting needs a free account with a verified email address. When you sign in, a consent page lists the access your assistant is asking for, and you choose **Approve** or **Deny**. Once you approve it: - **Your workspaces, no one else’s:** It reaches your own workspaces, the driver library, and your account name and email. Designs you made as a guest stay in your browser, out of reach. - **Step in whenever:** Editing pauses only while it writes, and only for the design. Take control and it asks before editing again. - **Undo the whole session:** The handback’s Undo reverts its changes. Every change is also a saved version, and an edit that started from an older version is refused rather than overwriting yours. - **Deleted is not gone:** A workspace it deletes goes to Recently deleted, restorable for 30 days, and it asks first unless it made that workspace in the same conversation. It cannot create share links. Both open the list of assistants connected to your account and when you approved each. - **Disconnect** ends an assistant’s access straight away. - Signed out, **AI** in the header offers **Log in** instead: connections belong to an account. ## If it doesn’t connect - ChatGPT: paste the whole server URL, including `/mcp` at the end. - Claude: the Free plan takes one custom connector, and on Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds it in Organization settings first. - It answers without your designs: switch the connector on in this chat, and check you approved it while signed in to the account that holds them. If a step doesn’t match what you see, look for custom connectors or developer mode in the app’s settings. ## Ask AI on these pages 00 Simulator has no AI of its own, in the app or in these docs. The Ask AI button on every docs page writes a prompt about that page for your own assistant: copy it, or open it in Claude or ChatGPT, which copies it first in case the link does not fill it in. Connected, your assistant can read the page and open your designs. Not connected, it can still read the page if it can open web links.
