# What your assistant can do

> What Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant can do with 00 Simulator: find drivers, build and simulate designs, show you graphs and check a build.

Source: https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai

Connect 00 Simulator to Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code and your assistant can do the legwork of a design: find a driver, build candidates in your workspace, run them through the same solver as the app and show you the graphs. You set the goal and the limits; every number it quotes comes from a simulation.

_Figure: An assistant session: the prompt, the 5 tools it calls, its reply and the simulated SPL of the vented example._

The wording is an example; the tools are the connector’s own, and the numbers and curve are the solver’s, run when this page was built.

Prompt: “Using 00 Simulator, design a vented box around a Ciare 12.00SW and show me the SPL and excursion at 100 W.”

Tools it calls: `search_drivers` (Ciare 12.00SW), `get_driver` (T/S parameters), `create_workspace` (Vented), `simulate_workspace` (100 W · half space · 1 m), `render_simulation_graphs` (SPL, excursion).

Reply: “Here is a vented box for the Ciare 12.00SW. Net volume 55 L, −3 dB 31 Hz, and 108 dB at 100 W in half space. From 20 to 300 Hz, peak excursion is 8.9 mm, comfortably inside the 13.5 mm Xmax.”

## How it works

- 00 Simulator is a connector (a remote MCP server at `https://simulator.00aud.io/mcp`) that gives your assistant 39 tools. It chooses which to call, and when, from what you ask.
- It works on your own workspaces, through your account, once you approve it. [Connect your assistant](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/connect) takes a couple of minutes.
- Its numbers come from the app’s own solver. The connector tells it never to invent a simulation value, and to try experiments without saving them.
- Keep the workspace open in 00 Simulator and you watch it work there: [Watch it work live](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/live).

> **No AI of our own** The thinking is your assistant’s; the physics is the solver’s. 00 Simulator has no chatbot. The Ask AI button on these pages writes a prompt for your own assistant to answer.

## What it can do

The jobs below follow a design from driver to build, then the ones outside that run. [Tools](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/tools) lists all 39 one by one.

### Pick a driver

Search simulation-ready drivers by name or Thiele/Small filters, read one in full, and check a set of parameters for missing fields and contradictions.

Tools: `search_drivers`, `get_driver`, `validate_driver`. [Prompts for this](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts#find-a-driver)

### Design

Suggest a starting alignment, read the fields each enclosure type takes, then build and edit candidates in a workspace of your own.

Tools: `suggest_enclosure`, `get_enclosure_schema`, `create_workspace`, `list_workspaces`, `get_workspace`, `add_enclosure`, `update_enclosure`, `update_workspace`. [Prompts for this](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts#design-and-compare)

### Simulate

Run the solver on a saved version, including horns, EQ and multiple-entry drivers, and read the numbers back.

Tools: `simulate_workspace`, `get_simulation_results`. [Prompts for this](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts#fix-a-problem)

### Show you

Draw graphs in the conversation, arrange the dashboard in your open tab around what is being explained, and mark the frequencies worth looking at.

Tools: `render_simulation_graphs`, `show_graphs`, `annotate_graphs`. [Prompts for this](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts#on-your-graphs)

### Check the build

Bring in a real measurement, such as a REW export, link it to the design it measures, and compare the two: the level difference and the shape difference are reported separately.

Tools: `import_trace`, `compare_trace`, `list_traces`, `get_trace`, `update_trace`, `delete_trace`. [Prompts for this](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts#check-a-build)

### Keep or undo

Finish with a summary you can undo in one go, restore any saved version, and clear away the candidates and workspaces that did not work out.

Tools: `end_workspace_session`, `list_workspace_revisions`, `get_workspace_revision`, `restore_workspace_revision`, `remove_enclosure`, `delete_workspace`. [Prompts for this](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts#tidy-up)

### Look it up

Search the 00 Simulator docs and read a page or one section of it, so answers about the app and what a result means quote the docs and link to them.

Tools: `search_docs`, `read_doc`. [Prompts for this](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts#explain-a-result)

### Appearance

Build an app theme for you, for instance more contrast between the side-panel sections, check it against the contrast floors, and switch to it when you ask.

Tools: `get_theme_schema`, `list_themes`, `get_theme`, `save_theme`, `activate_theme`, `delete_theme`. [Prompts for this](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts#appearance)

### Fold a horn

Fold a horn into a cabinet the way the Fold tile does, with other layouts, fixes and the folded horn to simulate beside the target, then export the saved fold as a Boundary Lab project to solve in 3-D.

Tools: `fold_horn`, `export_boundary_lab`. [Prompts for this](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts#horns)

### Its own limits

List the workspace operations this connection allows and the permission each one needs.

Tools: `list_workspace_capabilities`.

## Where you see the results

| Where | What you get |
| --- | --- |
| In the conversation | Graph tiles from a simulation it ran, up to 6 at a time: SPL, Max SPL, Impedance, Phase, Group delay, Excursion, PR excursion, Port velocity, Rear port velocity, Apparent power, Current draw. Ask for power and EQ controls and you can change one enclosure’s power and filters in the chat and see its curves re-solved; nothing is saved until you apply it. See [Graph kinds](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/graph-kinds). |
| In your open tab | Its edits land in place, and it can bring up to 6 tiles to the front and mark them. See [Watch it work live](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/live). |
| Later | It works with the app closed too; its saved versions wait in your workspaces. A workspace it creates starts as a draft and is archived after 7 days unless you keep it: **Keep all** in your workspace list, or **Keep workspace** when it hands back. |

## What it won’t do

- Make up numbers. Every figure it quotes should come from a simulation it ran; if an answer has a number and no run behind it, ask it to simulate.
- Save your experiments unasked. It tries changes as temporary edits and saves only the ones you ask for, each as a new saved version you can go back to.
- Share or publish. It cannot create share links, so nothing becomes public without you.
- Delete without asking. It asks before deleting a workspace it did not make in the same conversation, and a deleted workspace can be restored for 30 days.
- Reach other designs. It sees only your own workspaces: not other people’s, and not designs you made as a guest, which stay in your browser.

> **A driver it can’t find** Paste the T/S parameters from the datasheet. It checks them for missing values and contradictions, then builds the enclosure with that driver inside it.

## Get started

1. **Connect it.** Add the server URL to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or another MCP client, then sign in and approve it. [Connect your assistant](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/connect)
2. **Open a workspace.** Optional, but then you watch the work happen: open the workspace in 00 Simulator, signed in to the same account.
3. **Ask.** Start with “Using 00 Simulator,” and say what you want and the limits that matter. [Prompts that work](https://simulator.00aud.io/docs/ai/prompts)

**Ask your AI**

Your assistant reads the driver from your workspace, starts from the app’s own box suggestions and simulates both with the same solver.

> Using 00 Simulator, suggest a sealed and a vented box for the driver in my most recent workspace, add both to that workspace, and compare their F3, box volume and peak excursion at the saved power.
